Winner by one stroke

Simmons Bank Championship

Pleasant Valley Country Club, Little Rock

69-61-64 — 194 (−22)

PGA TOUR final-round notes for 1 November 2026 say Darren Fichardt, in his 15th PGA TOUR Champions start, holed a walk-off eagle putt, shot a final-round 64, and beat Zach Johnson by one stroke. The official leaderboard shows 69, 61, and 64, a total of 194, 22 under par, and a winner’s share of $365,000. Johnson finished at 195.

The same notes say the second-round 61 was bogey-free and tied the lowest 18-hole score of the 2026 PGA TOUR Champions season. The 54-hole total of 194 broke the tournament scoring record for the three years Pleasant Valley Country Club had hosted the event. The previous record cited in the notes was 196, by Steven Alker in 2025.

The notes call him a 51-year-old rookie and the eighth player from South Africa to win on PGA TOUR Champions. They say the win gives him PGA TOUR Champions status through the end of the 2027 season, and starts in the 2027 and 2028 Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai. They also say his earlier 2026 starts had come through four open qualifiers and two top-10 finishes in open full-field events. Those two events are not named in the notes, so they are not named here.

An Associated Press report carried on PGA TOUR describes a 10-foot eagle putt on the par-5 18th. At the close of the tournament, the notes projected a Charles Schwab Cup move from 46th to 17th. That figure is a projection from 1 November 2026, not a live standing. This site does not state a position in the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. The venue of that finale is not stated here either. Use the official leaderboard.

The win qualified him for the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. Follow that event, and any later start, on the PGA TOUR Champions leaderboard and on his PGA TOUR profile.

Winner by five shots

Staysure PGA Seniors Championship

New Course, Trump International Golf Links, Aberdeen

276 (−12)

The Legends Tour reports that Darren Fichardt won the 2026 Staysure PGA Seniors Championship by five shots. He closed with a four-under 68 and a total of 12 under par, 276. Mikael Lundberg was second. The tour says a 4-iron at the par-5 18th finished a couple of feet from the hole and set up a tap-in eagle.

Twelve months earlier he had lost a playoff to Bo Van Pelt on the first extra hole. The 2026 tournament page says the win made the 2025 Rookie of the Year the first professional winner on the New Course.

The Legends Tour player-profile summary calls this victory the 2026 Senior PGA Championship. The event pages do not. The title used here is the one on the win report and the tournament page, so it is not confused with the PGA of America senior major. The profile separately records an eighth-place finish at the 2025 Senior PGA Championship. That major finish is not this win, and no score for it is copied here.

I started stumbling a bit midway through the round, but then I reset and pulled myself together, which was good, and had a nice finish there on 18.

ISPS HANDA Senior Open

The Legends Tour’s 6 August 2026 opening-round report from Aberdeen says Fichardt had finished runner-up at the previous month’s ISPS HANDA Senior Open. That report does not give a score or a date. Neither is invented here.
